Gaming arena coming to Preston shopping centre

St George’s shopping centre, Preston, is set to join a list of cities that is home to a gaming arena.

The shopping centre will soon have a gaming arena open where people can play with friends, compete in tournaments, enjoy game nights and celebrate new game releases.

Opening on the 2nd of February, it will have everything from VR headsets to gaming desks and consoles to PCs.

Game launched BELONG in 2016, which has seen shopping centres up and down the country opening arenas and having their own e-sports teams with professional gamers.

The ‘Preston Invincibles’, will be St George’s e-sports team, with already having set up 19 other e-sports teams up and down the country, they are the latest to join the BELONG team.

Manchester Trafford Centre, have their own team called ‘Manchester Swarm’, Glasgow’s team is called ‘Clyde Claymores’ and London’s team are called the ‘London Lionhearts’.

A day of gaming will cost you Β£5 off peak and Β£7 peak times.
