Cheese, chips and gravy to have its own national day?

The Isle of Man is campaigning for cheese, chips and gravy to have its own national day.

This unusual meal is being backed by the island’s culture charity to be celebrated on the last Monday of every January.

Lisa Allen has worked at the Market Street Chippy in Preston for the last seven years.

She says, “We get [requests] every day. It’s popular with the students.”
