Blackpool host Rochdale at Bloomfield Road this weekend in League One as they look to continue their unbeaten run.

Having conceded their first goals away to league leaders Peterborough last weekend, Pool will look to win their fourth game of the season in what could be a tight encounter between the two teams.

Blackpool Manager Terry McPhillips said: “We’re in great spirits and we’re in great form. Now we’ve got to turn these draws into wins in the league.”

With the visitors having lost two of their last three games, Rochdale will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they visit The Seasiders.

Blackpool haven’t lost in eight league games but have only won three of them which could give the away side some confidence heading into the match.

Keith Hill’s Dale side sit 15th in the league and haven’t won a game in almost a month whilst Blackpool are 12th. Three points separate the two sides but Pool do have a game in hand.

The last time these two sides met on the Fylde Coast, both teams took a point in a 0-0 draw.

Team News

After being sent off at Plymouth last month, Blackpool defender Donervan Daniels has completed his three match ban and both Chris Taylor and Harry Pritchard are back in training giving McPhillips more headache over his team selection. But former Dale player Joe Bunney will miss the chance to face his former team. Captain Jimmy Ryan, who suffered a knee injury in the final game of last year, had surgery last weekend so he will not feature.

Rochdale will be missing their goalkeeper Magnus Norman who was sent off against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night. This means the Fulham loanee will miss three games and Josh Lillis will be most likely to take his place.

McPhillips added: “We went to watch them on Tuesday against Bristol Rovers, where they got their goalkeeper sent off just on half time, which I thought was a bit harsh.

“But they still managed to get a draw and they worked their socks off. They’ve got some good players. We’ve got to win the fight in any game. The lads know in no uncertain terms that they’ve got a hard game on Saturday, because Keith Hill is a great manager.”
