Research by UCLan academic Amy Binns has been included in a major book on the problems of social media, launched at the Frontline Club, London.
Legal campaigner Gina Miller spoke at the event about her own experiences on social media when she took the Government to court over Brexit legislation. The UCLan research analysed thousands of tweets sent to her, uncovering multiple death threats.
The book has been published by Abramis in partnership with the Institute of Communication Ethics. It includes contributions by Alan Rusbridger, Raymond Snoddy, Sir Peter Bazalgette, Gina Miller, Shami Chakrabarti, Phil Harding, Christopher Graham and others.
