Kash Ali’s career is in jeopardy following a bite on Liverpool based fighter David Price.
The bite occurred in the fifth round of the fight after Price rocked Ali with a right hook which caught him flush on the chin, with Ali tackling Price to the ground to help protect himself from further punishment.
It was then on the ground that Ali attempted to gain an advantage by biting Price who immediately made the ref aware of what had occurred.
He was then disqualified immediately with former boxer Tony Bellew labelling him a ‘disgrace’ and that he “shouldn’t be allowed back in the ring”.
Ali has been temporarily suspended by the BBBofC and will await to hear the full extent of his ban.
A date for his appearance in front of the board has yet to be set.
Elsewhere, Preston based Scott Fitzgerald overcame the odds to defeat Anthony Fowler in a fight that provided incredible excitement and drama.
Fitzgerald who was a 5/1 underdog before the fight, got a crucial knock down in the final round which edged him victories on two of the scorecards.
His next bout will likely be Ted Cheeseman who tweeted after the fight saying “Fair play to @Scottfitz91 backed your talk and done the business and now I’m sure our teams will be in talks very soon”.
