Plastic and paint are the perfect combination for local artist

Sukie Woodhouse, 53, has been using her plastic waste from supermarkets to create paintings depicting waves.

The artist, who lives in St. Annes, also collects and uses waste near the seaside to include in her work.

Sukie, who works as a teacher assistant, spends on average 20 hours a week on her art.

Her work is currently available to buy, and her original piece has sold for £1,000.

It comes as it was revealed that Tesco was having a trial with it being plastic-free on select fruit and vegetables.
