A Preston primary school has put in a planning application for a new two-storey school.

The Olive School, a Muslim faith based primary school, is hoping to get the thumbs up from Preston City Council for their new building off Vicarage Lane, Fulwood, Preston.

They are currently based on Primrose Hill and have 240 pupils. The new building will let them take up to 420.

They were inspected by Ofsted in July this year and received an ‘outstanding’ rating in all areas, including the ‘highly effective teaching’ and ‘exceptional progress’ of its pupils.

The new build is going to include associated car parking, landscaping, sports courts and a playing field, on the site of a closed hospital.
