Yesterday was World Book Day, where people all around the world celebrated all their favourite characters by dressing as them.
This big international event is designated by UNESCO and is marked in more than 100 countries across the globe. The aim is to celebrate authors, books, illustrators and reading.

At Harrington refectory area on the UCLan campus, they opened a little shop, to show some of the available books they have to sell. All books are only £5!
Seven UCLan academics explored the world of science and superheroes in a new book, which launched to coincide with world book day.
The book named ‘Unmasked – The Science of Superheroes’ reveals the scientific realities behind a famous comic book, explore the superheroes based on computing, engineering, maths, physics, biology and psychology.
This book launched yesterday at an interactive invitation-only event at the Harris Library.
One of the authors, Professor Robert Walsh said: “It is our hope that with this book we can show how real-world science can be just as wonderous and jaw-droppingly brilliant as the explosive events we see on cinema screens or the pages of comic books.” (Source: The Preston hub)
