Alex Neil believes his Preston side will show more of a will to win ahead of their next fixture.
“Like every game we’ve had against them, it’ll be keenly contested and I’m sure that we’re going to have to play well to get something from it.”
The North End head to London on matchday 4 as they face Brentford in a tough fixture where the Lilywhites really should be looking to pick up some points.
After a tough start to the season for Alex Neil’s men, they currently sit at 19th in the table after picking up 1 point from 3 games.
In the season so far, Alex Neil has seen his Preston side lose at home twice in 1-0 defeats to both Swansea and Stoke. He has also seen his side manage to pick up a point away at Norwich in the second fixture of the campaign.
Looking back at the 2 fixtures against Brentford from last season there is hope from the Preston fans that their side will be able to pick up something from the game. This is as both sides traded wins last season as Preston were able to beat Brentford 2-0 at Deepdale and Brentford were able to better Preston 1-0 at Griffin Park.
Preston fan, Josh Hudson believes the side will be able to pick up some points on Saturday: “Both games against them were tight last season. I believe the boys will head there knowing they need to bring a result back to Preston so I am confident the side will pick up the points needed from the game.”
Preston fans will also be excited to see if newly signed Danish prospect, Emil Riis Jakobsen, will start for the side which has been lacking in strike force.
Alex Neil said: “I’m hoping he can hit the ground running.”
Neil is very hopeful about his new signing and a lot will be made on whether he starts for the game on Saturday.
