Oldham Athletic are looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at home to Crawley Town as they travel to the JobServe Community Stadium to face Colchester United.

Without a win in their first three league games, the Latics have not got off to a good start under new manager, Harry Kewell a defeat against his former club has piled the pressure on the Australian.

Some speculation has been about Kewell, with suggestions that he might not make it past the game against Bolton if results don’t improve.

The game last Saturday saw goals from Danny Rowe and Conor McAleny, but that was not enough for the Latics to come away with a result.

The game at Boundary park was the first game this season where Oldham scored and also the first time this season that they took the lead.

Colchester are a big side so this could be a game where Australian striker George Blackwood, could make his full Oldham debut to add some power to the Latics attack.

The 6-foot-2 striker recently joined from Adelaide United on a two-year deal, where he previously spent three years with the A-League side.

Oldham will be without the experienced goalkeeper Gary Woods and former Bolton defender David Wheater, as both players have been removed from the first-team squad according to the club.

Colchester will provide a real challenge for the Latics, after picking up 5 points already this campaign with one win and two draws from their first three games this season.

With Colchester preparations complete and the transfer window still open, Oldham will be looking to get their first points of the season in an attempt to turn their season around.
