Accrington Stanley are set to fully unveil their new £2.5m supporters bar and hospitality suite.
The venues will be named Coley’s (supporters bar) and the 1968 Lounge (hospitality suite.)
The newly built state-of-the-art facilities will open fully to both home and away fans for the first time this Saturday when they face Charlton Athletic in Sky Bet League One.
Stanley owner, Andy Holt, has told the Lancashire Telegraph that he is “proud” of the new build.
He said: “I was convinced by some of our staff that we should do it right…this new facility will hopefully resonate with the community and the people of Accrington.
“It’s a great asset to the town and hopefully people will see it’s been worth going through the pain for.”
The Lancashire Telegraph spoke to a couple of Stanley fans who are very excited to see the new bar.
One fan said: “Looks bloody awesome.”
“We do hope many good wins can be celebrated in these facilities,” said another.
Various taster events have already taken place while a ‘Meet the Players’ evening is set to take place tomorrow evening.
Business leaders have already been able to get a taste of the facility, after an event talking with owner Andy Holt and managing director Dave Burgess.
The venue will overlook the Wham Stadium pitch and will serve various food and drink options throughout match days.
To celebrate the opening of their new lounge, Stanley will be looking to bounce back with a win after a 4-0 defeat away at Portsmouth on Saturday.
