With all the great weather the UK has been seeing recently, we are starting to see the summer events come back to Lancashire, writes Liam Grimley.
One of the most highly anticipated of those is the return of the Global Beach Sports Festival to Lytham St. Annes from March 26.
Beach Fest have teamed up with Global Beach Sports to provide more sports than the inaugural event last year. With a beach football tournament for six age groups for both male and female players now included.

The festival is a celebration of multiple sports put on to encourage locals to try out the many forms of exercise on display. This year, the fun-day has been extended due to the interest in last year’s festivities.
“The event will have something for everyone and with the global development of beach soccer moving at great pace”, said Olivia Harborow, founder and managing director of Global Beach Sports in a recent press release.
“We are really excited to welcome our friends from Beach Fest who will deliver soccer events and activities over the weekend.”
Other sports available include rugby, netball, cheerleading and much more.
The success of the first event in September drove big crowds into St. Annes Pier and even had a BMX show for the guests too.
The people were treated to a glimpse at the Rugby League World Cup which will be competed for in October of this year in England.
“Beach Fest are excited to partner with Global Beach Sports in delivering Beach Soccer tournaments & activities to Junior and adult teams.” said Paul Darke, Beach Fest Director.
“We can’t wait to see the beach full of people playing beach soccer.”
With this Beach Fest and other great events lined up across the county over the summer months or seems that there will be no shortage of things to do.
