Better Start Blackpool are giving every child aged 0-4 in the town a free personalised letter from Father Christmas.
Families can apply for a letter, for as many children as they like, to be posted straight to their door in time for the festive season.
As well as applying for a letter, parents can also ask for a phone call from a Community Connector, which is a peer-to-peer service that connects families in the community and suggests services that can help them.
Hannah Connell, External Affairs Manager, Better Start Blackpool, said: “We do this to help children have a magical, festive experience, but we also use this opportunity to support families.
“Last year, the Father Christmas letter generated over 100 phone calls from Connectors to our local families, and from this, food parcels and present drops were arranged, as well as conversations about fuel and food poverty, and information about what support they can access across the town”.
Applications for letters close on the 9th December, and they will be delivered between the 1st-19th December.
