Jake Paul has agreed terms to fight professional boxer Tommy Fury, the brother of WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
The fight is set to take place on the February 26 in Saudi Arabia. The undefeated boxers will go head-to-head to settle their long rivalry.
Paul, brother of famous influencer Logan Paul, rose to fame through social media like his older sibling, but changed career paths to focus on his boxing. He is now 6-0, with four of the wins happening through stoppage.
Fury rose to fame in the summer of 2019 with his appearance on TV dating show, Love Island, in which he came runner up with his partner Molly-Mae Hague.
Fury was a boxer before the show; however, it wasn’t until he’d left the villa that his sporting career really took off, fighting just a couple months after he’d placed second.
This bout will be the biggest test for both boxers, with Fury only fighting journeyman and Paul only facing influencers, basketball players and retired MMA fighters.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Paul said: “The moment of truth has finally arrived. On February 26, I will get in the ring with a real boxer, an 8-0 fighter from a storied fighting family and show the world the truth about who Jake Paul, the boxer, really is.”
Jake Paul (nicknamed the problem child) has tension with another influencer; Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji. Better known as KSI.
KSI started the influencer boxing craze by fighting former friend Joe Weller in 2018. After the fight he called out Logan Paul – Jake’s brother. Their first in 2019 ended in a draw, and in 2020 KSI beat Logan on points.
After that fight there was speculation whether KSI would fight Jake Paul, and almost three years later the feud between them both continues.
However, in a recent livestream KSI said he’d fight the winner of Paul v Fury saying: “I want to see if Jake wins. If Tommy wins, I’m going to be fighting Tommy, simple as that.”
Fury (nicknamed TNT) has not had a professional fight since April last year, where he fought Daniel Bocianski on the undercard of his brother Tyson’s fight. Fury beat Bocianski on points, whiled his brother beat Dillian Whyte by TKO in the sixth round.

Speaking about the fight, Fury said: “Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight. After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out.”
Both fighters had a heated exchange after Anthony Yarde lost Saturday’s light-heavyweight title fight against Artur Beterbiev.
Their dispute looks set to be finally settled next month.
