Cheltenham Town vs Fleetwood Town: League One preview

Fleetwood travel to Cheltenham this weekend as they face the Robins, looking to get over their FA Cup exit with a fifth win in six in the league, Cal Insull reports.

Town narrowly lost 1-0 to Championship leaders Burnley in the FA Cup Fifth Round midweek, but their league form rivals some of the top teams in the league.

Peterborough, Cambridge and Morecambe were all beaten 1-0 by the Cod Army and Scott Brownโ€™s side are slowly creeping up the league.

In 11th place, the trip to 19th in the league will be giving Fleetwood promise of another positive result.

Hosts Cheltenham Town are in opposite form, with no points in their previous four fixtures.

With one win this year, the Robins are only three points above the relegation zone โ€“ that being a 2-1 win away at Cambridge United, with League Two looming for Wade Elliottโ€™s side.

Fleetwood remain without second-top goal scorer Promise Omechere through injury, but the two previous games in which he has been absent has seen the likes of Shaun Rooney and Carlos Mendes Gomes step up.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season saw the two teams play out a 0-0 draw at Highbury Stadium
